Come and enjoy the last summer @maxsrestaurant.
Book in this spring and avoid the summer rush 😉
From the sea, this dish honours tradition while celebrating the best of local ingredients. A handmade seafood raviolo filled with Balmain bug and king prawn sits in a rich, aerated bisque, finished with a vibrant coastal herb oil. Crowned with @yarravalleycaviar_au , it is a dish that speaks of the ocean’s depth and the craft that goes into every detail where skill, technique, and respect for local produce come together to create something truly special.

The Final Summer at Max’s Begins Now 🤗

Dear Friends of Max’s,

After 31 years as the Mornington Peninsula’s original winery restaurant, we’re writing to share something close to heart: Max’s will be concluding its journey at the end of February 2026.

This chapter has been one of enduring hospitality, produce-led creativity, and countless shared moments at the table.
From long lunches to milestone celebrations, we’ve had the privilege of being part of your stories and we hope to share in a few more before the final service.

As part of our community, you’re hearing this first. Bookings are now open for spring, a perfect moment to visit before the height of summer. The menu, shaped by Max, Michael, and Ryan, continues to honour the land, the sea, and the producers who bring it all to life.

We’ll be in touch again soon to share what’s next — a new venture built with the same care and creativity that defined Max’s from the beginning.

For now, we invite you to join us while this chapter is still unfolding.

Warmly,
Max and the team x
